SpeedFast is an independent, browser-native internet speed test built around a single engineering philosophy: to measure real-world network performance accurately, without artificial smoothing, and with complete methodological transparency.
Our Mission & Identity
SpeedFast is dedicated to helping individuals and network professionals understand their true connection capabilities. Most users run a speed test when facing issues — during a stuttering video call, a paused game, or an interrupted download. They need reliable data, not just an inflated marketing number.
We measure sustained throughput across parallel connections, idle latency, and latency under load (Bufferbloat), providing actionable diagnostic metrics in under 30 seconds.
Engineering & Measurement Principles
A speed test is only valuable if it is honest. We prefer to report a realistic 180 Mbps sustained throughput over an artificial 250 Mbps peak burst that fails during actual usage.

Global Edge Infrastructure
SpeedFast leverages Cloudflare's distributed edge network across hundreds of cities worldwide. This architecture ensures that speed tests measure performance against geographically and topologically close edge nodes, minimizing synthetic routing delays.
Privacy-First Commitment
SpeedFast does not require user accounts, does not install background agents or APKs, and does not use tracking cookies. Your test results remain stored locally in your browser unless you explicitly choose to create a shareable result link.
Independent & Transparent
SpeedFast is an independent project. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Ookla, Speedtest.net, Fast.com, or Netflix. Any similarity in the metrics we report exists simply because accurate network measurement inherently requires standard metrics: throughput, ping, jitter, and bufferbloat.
